  People have not heard of craniosacral therapy. It is, actually, a type of bodywork. Unlike Massage or chiropractic, craniosacral practitioners utilize only a small amount of pressure when working on a client. It is a very light and gentle technique. Craniosacral Therapy was originally created by Dr. John Upledger, an osteopath and surgeon. The concepts supporting craniosacral therapy are debated to this day. Regardless of why it works, it does. Success with treatment is far higher than would be expected with placebo. A session of craniosacral therapy is unlike a massage therapy session, whether type of massage modality you may be familiar with. Almost everyone seems to benefit, from kids to adults. As mentioned above, there are many detractors and skeptics, proclaiming furiously craniosacral therapy is quackery, plain and simple. However, an intelligent mind must carefully examine what such individuals write, and then make up your own mind about whether you're able to consider the possibility of craniosacral therapy being potentially helpful, or choosing to forego your own research into the modality on the advice of the skeptics. As a life-long learner, I know that maintaining an open mind lets us to continue to learn without the limiting factor of biases. enjoy to imagine we're at a time when we've attainted advanced knowledge of everything within all disciplines imaginable, but philosophically, we humans have been sophisticated for quite some time. However true this may be, there has nearly always been a strong resistance to new ideas. Paracelsus, the famed philosopher from Switzerland born only a year after Columbus landed in America, penned, "The art of healing comes from nature, not from the physician.
